I have a gear box that came I took off of a machine, that appears to be a manual transmission off of a car. I searched the number that was stamped on the side and this website came back under a casting part number for chevy....so I'm trying to find out if there is any value in this part. The number on the side is 590391 on the other side these numbers are stamped: F-3, 500281-1. There is also an emblem of a shield with 2 diagonal lines across the top half. Anyone have any idea where to go for more information or maybe to list it for sale?

Thanks,

Hi,

Welcome to the Chevy Chat II. Hang around, I think you will like us.

You don't show a VCCA # in your profile. I suggest you join so you can receive the many benifits provided by the club. More information, contact me.

It appears that you have a 1929-30 Chevrolet transmission.

You can list it for sale on this forum. The weight will be a deterrent on selling. Your best bet is local.
