My 1931 sport roadster is about ready to go to paint. The car was originally black. Everything else on the car is as it came from the factory, but I do not like the idea of the black body. Since the roadster does not have any color code stamped anywhere on it I don't believe changing the body color will deter from the authenticity of the car.
I've been looking on line and in books to find color pictures for cars with the different color options in 1931. I have looked at the on line color samples dating back to 1931 and they do not give a good indication of what they will look like on a car.
Does anyone know of a good source or are there any members willing to e-mail me a picture of their car? I am leaning towards coffee cream and fawn brown (It is one of the few color pictures I have found/ 1983 Cars & Parts magazine front cover).
My e-mail if anyone is interested cliftonteresa@bellsouth.net
I have a high speed modem so large files are not a problem. Thanks in advance Clif

Check out Bill Barkers 1931 Chev web site. Might be of some help.
Good Luck. Going golfin'.

Clif, how did you make out with the paint? Just bought a 31 roadster last night. You wouldn't have any extra parts by chance? Do you know of anyone selling wood kits for this car or who rewoods them? Thanks, Ron

Bill thanks for the link to your web page, Thats where I got the colors from before. It gives me all the info for the paint colors but does not give me a true representative of how it will look on the car.
Ralph's web site does have a picture of his car, but That is one of the few color combo's that I already have good pictures of.

Together we can do anything. The impossible just takes longer.
