MGF,
I wish I could just give you an online parts supplier to go to. I had the same problem about ten years ago when I was doing my '52 Fleetline. I found a good solution in the local NAPA store in the form of flexible air cleaner heat tubing -- you know the type -- it was pretty typical in cars from the mid 70's up until FI replaced most carburetors, and was used to make the air supply connection between a sheetmetal shroud on the exhaust manifold to the snout on the air cleaner for delivering warmed air for cold-weather starting. It comes in several different diameters and is either bright silver in color or black. I was able to find the black stuff in the right size and it fit the defroster nozzles perfectly and was easily bent to the right shape. Looking under the dash, you can't tell the difference between this and the original stuff. Hopefully, they still carry that stuff. Anyway, that would be my suggestion if you don't have any success elsewhere.
By the way, have you tried any of the '55-'57 vendors? They seem to make everything you can possibly think of for those cars; maybe the defroster hose material was the same stuff in those cars and the trucks during those years. It would be worth a shot to try anyway...

MGF, I bought my underdash hoses for my 53 1/2 ton from the Filling Station. They fit perfect and very cheap in price...Oscar

I saw them in a catalog just the otherday, I do know from measureing the outlets that a 53 uses two different sizes.

MrMack, on my 53 truck all the flex hose was the same size for both vents. Are you talking about the flex hose for a car? Thanks...Oscar

Oscar, Was the tubing you got from The Filling Station the correct rubberized cloth with a wire insert style?
