hey guys im new to the site and will be coming here to find alot of info and parts for my new truck. Need some help identifying a chevy truck i just purchased today. the woman i bought it off of said it was a 1919 baby grand model fb5 and gave me a plate that "came off it" with a car number 2840 on it. now from researching today i have found that a FB5 is a five seater with four doors which leads me to believe this isnt a baby grand but i don't know. if any more info is needed to identify it let me know. any help will be great because im new to this era of cars and honestly i don't even know how to start it at the moment
thanks for any help
Steve

nos2clutch welcome to the vcca. You've come to the right place. If you have just joined as a member; you will soon get a copy of our monthly magazine called the G&D. In there you will find the name, address and email address of the technical assistant for your baby grand. He is a very knowledgable person. Or you can post any and all the numbers from the engine and ID plate on the truck. Someone with more knowledge than I will help you. Good Luck!!!

well i guess i got lucky, i went the AACA car show on june 30th because it happened to be few miles from the house and i met Dave Wiltsey with his 1914 Baby Grand and he gave me a wealth of knowledge. we found the chassis is a 1919 baby grand with the chevy four and he thought the cab was a hudson after some research i believe its a late 20's Essex coupe cab. after 25 years i finally got it running with out changing any parts just fluids. i had it running for a minute or enough to get the timing in the general area then it died and now it starts and runnings for a few seconds and dies out i believe it to be a carb problem and looking for a kit for a zenith 0-4 carb but any other info would be great thanks

I have a '19 FB 50 Touring. It is stored 120 miles from the house so can not get pics on demand. If you email questions or needs I can help as I can get the chance.
