I am looking for the correct shade of yellow to paint my wheels. There appear to be 3 shades of yellow in common use, cream, pale yellow and a buttercup yellow. I need the code or shade for the pale yellow, and if possible a modern equivalent.

Do you mean "Cream Medium"? If so, here is the modern cross over:

"Yellow", 1974 Toyota, Code T-528, ACME 91781, R-M 4602/T0224, Dupont 43334.

wink :grin: :)

Since Cream Medium was used well into the 50s many of the paint suppliers have the mixing formula. I have about a dozen paint chips of the color and no two are exactly the same. Likely due to deterioration of the chips not a change in the color.

I have a listing from Wayne G. Martin (1970's G&D) showing Cream Medium as a "fair match" with the following;
67-70 F0rd Truck MFG Code U, "Empire Yellow" ACEME No. 5676
Hope this helps...
