John - I have a couple 1925 frames that I can take measurements from if you need a specific measurement. There is at least one very easy recognizable difference in the rear cross member covering the gas tank. The 1925 member, where the rear tank strap attaches ends curving to the ground and the 1926 frame curves down, then bends up to form a lip, probably for strength.

Hi Guys, There are no dimension differences for 25 ,26 or 27.I have one of each stacked in my garage. The 25 frame has a casted metal brace located behind the engine. The 26 is a stamped part. The plate above the gas tank does have a lip on 26 and the 25 has no lip. The 27 has the double hole in the back plate. One hole for gas tank fill and the other for guage on the right side of tank. Need photos ask. Regards,Ray

Ray - Do you mean the cast piece is the cross member that the rear of the engine bolts to? My 1925 frame is stamped, but the front cross member is cast. Does any of your frames have a sheetmetal pan in front of the front cross member?

All of them have the front pan and the two side pans. These pans are sheet metal and are removable. In 1925 there were two types of pans. One set does NOT make contact with the engine, the other attaches to the engine by the oil pan bolts.
