is a 39 master 85 hood the same as a 39 master deluxe hood ?

chevgene , i am looking at replacement tie rod ends# ES - 84 - McQuay/Norris , fits 39 to 47 chev & 53 to 57 vette . would these be correct replacement parts . thanks again . frank

The tie rod ends that you are refering to fit 1939-54 Chevrolets (and some Corvettes) with the coil spring front suspension.This is not correct for your Master 85 with a straight axle and leaf springs.
The tie rod ends on the Master 85 are completely different and can be rebuilt if necessary.There are cups and coil springs inside that can be adjusted or replaced.The ends are designed to prevent road shock from reaching the steering wheel.See shop manual for lay out of the internal parts and the correct assembly of them.
