Hi All,

This is idea I am working on....

The subject of "hubcaps" comes up on occasion as to what is correct for which models. I can set up a web page if you folks can supply photos and descriptions from hub caps 1960 and before. Photos of just the hub cap off the vehicle, front and back sides and maybe a profile view would be better for purposes of detail. Descriptions can include years and models each hubcap was used with dimensions. Think this would make a good reference.

If you can, shoot me an email with a photo of your hub cap with a description would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Include whether Chrome plated steel with galvinized steel backing, stainless steel with galvinzed steel backing, aluminum front with steel backing, all stainless, all aluminum, etc. State whether known to be original production or after market reproductions. Good luck

Great idea Keith! If I knew what year my hubcaps and wheels came from, I'd shoot you a picture.

Great web site Keith, this is what is needed by people when trying to restore a car back to original...cool. This is a great use of the WWW.

Will send you some pics.

I can see a need for pictures by years for a lot of other original items...

That is too bad,IMHO...knowledge is everything if you want to restore to original.

I would like to see this type of web site linked here on Chatter and not just in a string. IMHO
