Please grade my homework, first off, thanks to those who responded to my request for info on the torque tube! This '53 project was rec'd in many different unlabled boxes. Todays box contained a orig, oil filter can w/ubolts and 2 new hoses with identical fittings(1 longer than the other)and a new stuffed sock behive shaped filter. I searched in vain thru the manuals for a clear pic of hose routing. After mounting the can on the intake manfld, I routed a hose from the bottom of same to the lower thrd port at base of block(left of center of manfld). The remaining hose went from the upper side to a thrd port right of center and about 11/2 in. higher. This port was a shared fitting w/a smaller orifice, which I assumed goes to the pressure ga.The filter was inserted round side up,(removal wire attached here) was 1st. tempted to install in the reverse. How'd I do for a guess job??? If y'all got any extra rain send it here,'cause we're hurtin!! God bless, fyrman

thanks for the info, I checked out the page and It appears thah I have the routing correct. There seems to be a contridiction. The photo shows the canister mounted forward of the boss and then states that it should be mounted as close as possible to the heat riser. The hose set which was provided allowed for the mounting to be neatly done using the square facing on the mainfold to support the rear of the can and allowed for the ubolts to come straight across those area and mounted neatly and securely. Any ideas on how the filter goes in? thanks Fyrman
