Does any body have the correct name and PPG paint number for the interior. The more I look and call I get different names and numbers for the color.

The two I remember was Sheen Gray and slate Gray. PPG had other names to. The Sheen Gray was like a Bronze color.

I have looked through the material in my library and have found only one referance to an interior color, and that is for the Metalic Grey on the dash. I have no idea if there were other colors used for interiors.

I will release the information to Club Members only. I urge you to join the VCCA to have access to this and other paint information that I have available, not to mention advice from Technical Advisors for most all models. Heck the Club Magazine G & D is worth the cost of dues alone.

Dan.

The same interior colors were used from 1947-53.The 1949 truck data book lists the colors as Medium Tan Metalli-chrome #260-55257 and Dark Tan Metalli-Chrome #260-55265

I remember only one color being used-the light tan...but I may be missing something.

Sorry Dan I just fixed my profile. Chevy Nut have you seen the paint that Chevy by the 40s sell? You were checking on a sample that would be grate. I hope my truck turns out better then my typing.

Chevy Duty is now known as Classic Parts of America www.classicparts.com It seems GM frowned upon them using "Chevy" for monetary gain.

OK Dan, I'm member #43962, member since 2006 and I'm certified to look at pictures, and I hope that means that I'm certified to hear the information on interior paints. Do you suppose you could release your guess as to what the general over all interior colors were for the dash/doors and mast jacket on the Advance Design trucks?? The PPG color library was very helpful and emailed me this information; I have PPG DBI #27467, which is their offset formula for the original Ditzler #31104 for the dash and over all interiors. They do not have, nor can I find any information for the steering wheel, mast jacket, shifter rods color. There is also a lighter shade used on the raised bars of the radio/glove box grill, has this ever been addressed?
I have tried the search function many times before and have been on it again since 04:30 this morning and have not found any mention of these on this site. I'm sure they are there but in searching back five years in the subject and body and I came up empty again.
Thanks
Denny Graham
