just got a call from a friend. he ordered about 150 bucks worth of parts in jan. parts arrived in april or may. then in the last Discover billing period, patricks billed him 5 times for a total of over 750 bucks. i dealt with Patricks about 10-15 years ago and had no problems then. looks like times have changed for Patricks. mike
VCCA members have access to a list of over 50 Technical Advisors who can help you with your car. It's worth the price of membership! While you can get a lot of information for free in this forum, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what "The World's Best Chevrolet Club" is all about!
I too have bought from Patricks in AZ if you are referring to the people who make the differential gears, etc.
I bought a short waterpump conversion from them. Never used it but it seems correct and not billed more than once. Actually, I think I paid for it in advance.
I wonder what in the world has happened. Could it be simply a mistake in billing?
I have never had concerns with Patrick’s, over the years. Unless the ACTUAL CUSTOMER posted his issues here, I would not rely on a “ he said. she said” statements. BUT, anything can happen these days...... it’s important to hear facts first hand, to prevent bad rapping a vendor .... or an individual.

I will only add that on the Stovebolt site and the Old GMC site, quite a few members have been burned by Patricks billing practices. No personal experience myself.

Thank you for the info, Mike. Information, good or bad, about vendors is very welcome. Bobg1951chevy, perhaps the actual customer is unable to post his issues here.
I purchased my 235 overhaul parts from Patricks last year. I did receive all my parts and was not over billed but it was a long and difficult process. The order was not timely and information from Patricks was less than accurate. My credit card was processed immediately after ordering in February and I was told all parts would be received within two weeks. When inquiring after three weeks I began to get excuses and promises that were not kept. After six weeks I requested a refund and told Patrick to cancel the order. After a couple more weeks and talking to Patrick he informed me that due to financial circumstances he was unable to process a credit but he did have some of the parts and could ship them and the rest when they became available. I decided it was better to have at least something for my order so I agreed. Parts began arriving in April from various sources and the last parts at the end of May. I had purchased a new cam and lifters (solid) and found the new lifters required new push rods as the lifters were shorter. Patrick apologized for the problem and sent the push rods at no charge. He also sent me a used connecting rod no charge as I needed a couple of bolts. I feel fortunate that I got all my parts. Patrick is in I believe his mid eighties and while he has a wealth of knowledge on the Chevy and GMC six cylinder engines I don't believe anyone else there is competent to continue his business.
Steve, not certain if Patrick has turned 80 yet, but don’t think so. His son is with him in the business, as is Patrice wife. Whether they take over remains to be seen. Sounds like his book keeping practices need to be fixed ASAP.

Just when you think it could not get any worse... it get's worse.
There is a long line of victims that have been screwed over by Pat.
Pat has numerous credit card companies after him.
Some of the people he has ripped off have reported him to the Arizona Attorney General office.
Some have reported him for theft to the Casa Grande AZ. police department.
From what I have heard the Casa Granda P.D. is referring all of his theft complaints to the Pinal County Sheriffs Office & the Good Ol' Boys over at the P.C.S.O. are actually following up & harassing Pat until the refunds are issued.
wow, I came home today and the mailman had left me a chrome valve cover and cap!! Thanks Patricks!!
Sounds like Marty Flores {deluxe54panel} is up to his old tricks again by telling B.S. tall tales to throw people off.
Last I heard.... Pat has been in the hospital for the last 3 weeks & he now is on life support...PLUS they have been completely out of business for over a month now. {they quit answering the phone all together in September}.
Under the circumstances & given the time line that Marty claims....Part was ordered on Oct 7th ....Part Received on Oct 13th.
I highly doubt that sending a chrome valve cover was high on their priority list of things to do AFTER they went out of business, AFTER they stopped answering the phone & AFTER Pat was already laying in the hospital for over a week.
Yea.... Marty { delux54panel } is full of crap & you can count on that.
