My 1940 KC 1/2 ton pickup project came without support braces for the front fenders.
With a lot of assistance from Forum members, I found that the parts I need appear to be in Group 8.141 in the Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog - part #s 350951 and 350952, I believe.)
I am hoping that someone might be able to tell me how different these braces are from ones that would fit other years in case I find a pair that I might modify to fit my 1940.
Also, if someone could upload a photo of what these supports look like, I would appreciate it.
I have looked at the websites of several parts suppliers and have not found any supports for the front fenders at all. (Lots of places have supports for the rear fenders.)
Thanks!
Nick

I have some photos of the braces on my trucks, but I need to check the Master Parts Catalogs to determine if one or the other models are applicable to a ‘40 KC.
It will be later today before I can get back here with any info.

The Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog, 1929-1946, indicates the braces were the same for 1939 and 1940 1/2 ton trucks.

The photos I have for ‘37 and ‘46 1/2 ton trucks might help provide an idea of what you’ll need. These braces are incorrect for your truck. I will email you the photos to avoid creating fog and confusion otherwise.

Hopefully, others will post photos of the correct ‘39/‘40 braces in reply to your request.
