Looking for my dad's old 1947 Chevrolet Sedan

Serial number 7101100339 motor number 152717

Sold in Vancouver B.C. around 1958 or 59 is bought in April 1953

Was a 2 door I believe. Was a dark colour hard top.

Shot in the dark a 2 door fleetmaster unless I am wrong.

Dad passed and I would love to find it if it's still around

The reality is that it is extremely difficult to track the ownership trail of any vehicle. The 2 major limitations you encounter are privacy laws and the fact that registration records for vehicles this old are in filed in paper form if they still exist at all.

One suggestion would be to join VCCA and start searching the member database of other 1947 owners in BC. While they might own the car they might know of it. There are many VCCA members who do not participate in this forum.
