My 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Woodie needs to have the 2nd & 3rd gear synchros replaced. I’m having a difficult time finding anyone that works on anything that old. Does anyone know of anyone near St Louis Missouri that works on this type transmission? Any help is appreciated.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I rebuilt a transmission for my '41 a few years ago using Jayhawker's videos. I found a donor transmission at the Hershey, PA show and took my time rebuilding it. I took my new synchronizers and associated parts to a transmission shop and they pressed them in for me.
Once rebuilt, I took out the old transmission on a Saturday and put the rebuild one in on Sunday.
It was very rewarding and it still shifts great.
Happy to chat if you have any questions.
