I recently completed a brake overhaul on all brake pads including parking. I used the woven material from McMaster carr. I followed the manual and instructions on how to adjust all the linkages. I centralized the brakes. One question I have is how often do you adjust the brakes at the wheel turning the screw? After about 150 miles the braking was definitely lessened and I had to adjust the screw on all wheels. Is it normal to make adjustments like that after driving for some time? Thanks!

I think that once the lining has worn in you will not need to adjust more than once a year depending on the mileage put on. I have the non-asbestos lining on my car which was installed 22 years and 12000 miles ago and it has hardly worn.

I just finished a 27 speedster, the brakes were new, within the first 100 to 150 miles I adjusted them twice, have 400 miles on it and have not needed adjustment.
The new linings just need to get seated.
