Hi,

I'm helping my elderly friend sell his 1980 Silverado 1500. Can anyone tell me how to go about determining price? Kelley's Blue Book doesn't go that far back and NADA doesn't offer this truck.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

In 1980 the Silverado was a trim package, not a model. There were 4 levels of trim available in a C/K series pickup.

Those trucks have gained popularity in recent times and values have increased. If you use Facebook you can check out the group square body nation.

With a few pictures, mileage, equipment details, and condition info you may get some estimates of value there or here.

Good luck
