I had to replace the gas tank in my 41 Master deluxe. I ordered mine from Chevs of the 40s. At the time I ordered mine they did not stock them, they had the manufacture ship them out from the factory to you. Unfortunately there is no winning on shipping large bulky items.

For line my local NAPA makes most anything you could need as long as you have an original to match it to. If you do not it is not difficult to bend tubing as needed from straight stock. There my be a place like this near you.

I had thought about going with the Pertronixs ignition but was convinced otherwise by this forum. Also the fact that NAPA had all the parts to my current 6v system in stock for a real low cost. We have driven the car to car meats and to church weekly when the weather is good and never had an ignition issue other than a coil go bad.

For the 6v to 12v conversion what is your reason? If you are keeping the stock engine and not adding a bunch of electronical item the 6v should be more than enough. #1 thing I had to correct was grounds. #2 was the battery cable size. Use welding wires for the battery and not the connections kits they sell in the store, the wires are just to small in the modern kits. I had to rewire my car due to the isolation being damaged by rodents and chose to keep the the 6v system. All the wires had to be a larger gauge to handle the amps but all of the old accessories work properly without adapters etc.

The turn signals are a good investment. I found my kit on eBay. Any kit will work. To make mine work with 6v I had to change the blinker and the bulb that was in the end of the stalk for it. Once again my local NAPA had these parts.

I ordered my seatbelts from: SeatBeltsPlus.com. They charged a flat rate shipping that was fairly low.

To save money on shipping from Chevs of the 40s and The Filling Station while we were working on our car we kept a list of items we needed. We were placing large orders for the next several things we planned to do on the car at once. Not the most convenient but it saved on shipping.
