Here is another Then & Now Project.... I had been wanting to buy an old 1928 Chevy one ton, flatbed, farm truck... that I saw sitting in the forest near an old homestead in southern Colorado... and dreamed of building a motor home out of it... to live in and travel with.... So... I lengthened the frame... and, put a 4.3L V6 chevy engine in... 5 speed tranny.... rack and pinion steering... better brakes... and built a tubular steel frame for the oak body..... Rebuilt the old hickory wooden spokes, and made 21 stained glass windows... double bed, propane stove w/oven, sink with running water, solar lights &music..... and a good running home on wheels.... It took 10 months to build and about $10,000 My wife and I drove it and lived in it.... from the Canadian border near Montana down to southern Arizona, several times over several years.... sold it for $45,ooo realizing that dream come true..... what fun.... Sunny
