Sounds like the first "REAL" steps forward for the VCCA in quite some time! This is indeed VERY good news for the future of the club. Thanks to BB for all your hard work & devotion.

"Congrats" and thanks to Mike Welch and Bill Barker for their presentations at the Board Mtng. It seems like the time and effort and so on that you guys are putting in is paying off. It is good to hear the Board was receptive to ideas that will continue to move the club forward.

Presumably we'll be hearing more info and details in the near future here in Chevy Chat about the weekend Board Mtng .....

Bill.

Could 'we' (”˜we’ means BBB, I guess) video record the VCCA official meetings? Then all of us could see the presentations and etc. With all of the junk (IMHO) amateur videos available on the web I would guess the tech. knowledge and equipment is available and ”˜easy’ to use.

It would be great to have a video of the meetings and shows here on the VCCA web site for us to view…IMHO.

May the annual meeting could end up in a video conference, both covering the official and the fiesta afterwards, just like Big Brothers? We could even have VCCA news on the telly, just like a soccer match.

Sorry folks, but let's leave the BOD to do the job in peace and quiet. I trust they will do the best for all and am grateful for all the hours they are spending to drive the club forward.

I really hope for the database to come, and soon.

I have been away from the computer for a couple of days but it was very pleasing to get back to such good news. It is obvious that some has been talking sense at BOD and many thanks to those involved, not only on the chat chapter front.

Thanks for all your great support on this Site, folks!

I am honored and humbled to get to start wearing "The Big Hat" - and fully intend to try and earn it, and make everyone glad that this has happened.

We have made a lot of changes, and taken a lot of steps forward. Now we have to implement all these things, and make them work. There is much, much work to do! Many Committee chairmanships have changed, and the new folks need some time to transition and get up to speed.

Our own Cordman Joe is the new national Treasuer, and it will take a couple of months just to get the Bank and all the various vendors switched over to Joe, so for a bit longer I will still be wearing that hat, too. Just an example of much work that will be invisible to almost everyone, but which must get done. The same applies as NovaScott, the new national Secretary, gains control of all those responsibilities.

I thank you all for your confidence. Now I ask for your patience and continued support as we put all these new programs and policies into place. There will be bumps along the way, but we will work through them.

Don Williams
The ( New ) President

Congradulations Don, althought there may be lots of work to do you can count on the Chat Group to lend a hand.

It's great to see the VCCA President here at Chatter within days of being elected. Way to go, the VCCA is in good hands and heading into the future!

I did not get it clearly for my eyes:(One day older than the day before)
Did the BOD accept a database and vote for it to be installed this year?
CCON is preparing a suppliers' list with more than 180 adresses in US and other English-speaking countries, and all dealing in Chevrolet parts, and f.o.c. This list will be sent when it is possible to put it into the database for helping all VCCA members to find the best possible suppliers for their old cars.
Hopefully in full use this year yay yay ok auto auto dance

FYI:

VCCA has {@ MIchael41 office} and inner-active, mail merge, WORD format data base of about 100+ suppliers, as well as most VCCA regions.

It was put together last year during the fund raising campaign for the 2006 Anniversary meet. Each of the companies or people offered us donations, gifts and or money for the meet in Colorado.

It's my feeling that this list represents the best suppliers of Chevrolet parts & items, or products that aid us in the car hobby. I would also suggest that these donors receive TOP Billing and Support, because they supported VCCA.

The list is here & ready to go. I believe Bill Barker may have one {?}.

Hope this helps everyone & VCCA.

I am sorry, but was not aware of the story and list from last year. I also find it only fair to support the sponsors supporting VCCA and give them preferances. Those companies even should have "board-announcements" on the web pages with link to their own pages, just like we do in CCON. The more the sponsors give, the more often their boards show up. Have a look on the changing boards on the left side of our web site: http://www.chevyclub.no

CCON has (I have) collected our club's adresses during the last ten years. That list has been one of the major helps in CCON during those years both to members and others, and many other car clubs have envied us this support, as they have none. :(

The list should be a valuable support to what you already have, and you are certainly free to use what you like and vote for. By giving you our list, we hope you feel we are supporting VCCA in a useful way. We really want to help, but also realize that we do not have the same close knowledge as you guys have with all those suppliers. Some bad, some good, and some very useful bright Agrin stars, and we know those last ones by names. dance May be you could give us information to adjust our list after you have compared and sorted out?

When we have sorted our list in year periods, we will forward it to you so all members can take full advantage of many years work. OK? bigl May be you could give us information to adjust our list after you have compared and sorted out?
