While out of town for work, I am hoping to make it to the Chickasha Swap Meet. Is anyone else going to be there? Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect on Saturday?
Thanks,
Chris

If you are referring to the pre war swap meet it is basically over by Saturday. I have been there on Friday and and vendors were already leaving. Go earlier if possible.

The Chickasha swap meet usually becomes vacant early on Saturday. Better to be there Thursday. Friday is OK. On Friday evening many vendors pack and and leave. Joe Smith

Even though I'm down south for business, the company is letting me take friday off on vacation. They are even paying for the hotel, food, gas, and rental car. I wish I could get them to pay for the parts I buy.
Thanks again for the comments.

Raymundo would you like to borrow my hanky, it is almost dryed out now! My banker heard a couple of us discussing the Chickasa Swap meet at the LSR meeting yesterday and she told me to "Knock it off"! ( we are trying to move a couple of trailer loads of carparts She calls them junk, and a half dozen boxes of her dishes (junk)to the new shop this week).

Well, I made the 840 mile round trip to the swap meet this weekend. I wish I could have spent more money. I did buy a pair of top brackets for my '23, as I have been looking for a good pair for the last 7 years. While there were alot of parts there, I was disapoined at the lack of Chev stuff. I should be used to that by now! Anyways, I did get to chat with a few other VCCA guys that I normally only see at the Anniversary Meets. I hope I can get my company to send me down here next year.

Chris, Pleased to see you made it to the swap meet. We went up for a couple of days and like you we were disappointed in the amount of Chevy stuff. Very little 30's bright parts. If any one was looking for A&T parts or brass lamps you were in luck. The weather was great anyway.

Chris, Don, You guys just didn't move fast enough. We had to quit buying old Chevy stuff when we filled the second truck and emptied the ATM.
Well, maybe not! Filled two toy trucks and found an empty ATM. But did get a couple of parts and BB (aka Bug) is accumulating a collection of original and aftermarket electrolocks. Hopes to salvage enough parts to make two operating ones.
And to top it off no snow, sleet or rain. Only 30 mph winds with minimum blowing dust. Did not freeze my tutu either. Best weather I can remember for pre-war Chickasha.
How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!
