Ok,

I have one observation for you all. This whole thing started because you guys talked about the BOD not being accessible and the like. The charter hasn't even been formed yet, and there are already calls to slink off into some closed chat room. What's up with that? I say, let the sun shine bright and keep your business out in the open.

Some of us in the peanut gallery are watching your efforts; don't end up becoming what you complained about in the first place.

Ok, back to the shadows I go! dance

Jim,

Your point is understood.

However, it's my understanding many folks feel our 'business' shouldn't be discussed in front of chat folks who are NOT also VCCA members.

In general, I agree with that idea.

Afterall, whatever 'our' business is, it isn't any of 'their' business. And, frankly, I presume 'they' don't have any interest in 'our' business anyway.

I believe that's why many feel we should have a place to discuss our business just amongst ourselves.

Bill.

I was refering to financial and election voting. That way it would be easier for those that need to know the vote numbers wont have to scan the whole thread for the information required.
I also dont think the non charter viewers need to know how we disperse charter funds.

I have severe doubts that if I sent $15 Aus it would be accepted as full payment anyway considering the current exchange rate. It would be nice but I am not going to push my luck.

Jim Karras,

Just to let you know. The Chat Chapter has repeatedly said that we will not have a private room to go hide because it wouldn't be fair to all the other Regions.

What some of the guys here may be implying is to keep our business end private. After all, all the other Regions keep there business private.

Bill Barker (who is a Chat Chapter member) has flat out told us that there is no room for the Chat Chapter to have a private room. So, we will have to conduct the business end of things through pm's or emails.

Also, no we do not intend on hiding from you all. Expressing our opinions and airing our comments are just two of the things this Chat Chapter fully believes in.

Jim, Sleenk off to a private chat room? No that isn't what we need, we just want a place to conduct business where ONLY VCCA chat Chapter members are welcome. I don't see why that would be a problem. After all We will be dues paying members....and look at the last several forums on this site, BOD, Business Committee, we members can't go there. We just want the same thing. We won't need a private place as soon as the site is for VCCA Members only.

Billy Boy, maybe you could let us have one of these private forums, several don't appear to be used that much, Eh?

R.C. what are you doing over here in our private inner-sanctum anyway? Shame on you, an uninvited interloper that isn't even a VCCA member.
I will have to put you on report again!

Besides.... I never take a NO as a final answer, I need a no, and then an explanation as to exactly why not?

There should always be a way if we just use our BB Brains.....

Now Billy Boy do you need any more reasons besides R.G. sticking a nose into this place? Thanks R.Goodbody.
You just made my point!

Guys:
Just an observation, but shouldn't we hold off collecting dues until we find out for sure the VCCA board accepts us as a chapter? I'm ok with dues for the cause etc, I just think we may be a tad premature.
I am willing to do my part at this point in reimbursing those for the cost they have incurred to date. If you'll let me know I'll gladly chip in.
Thanks, 37Blue

Firstly, knowing the exchange rate I would not expect you to accept $15 Aus as $15 US, the difference would have followed shortly after.

Secondly, I had noticed Bill saying chatter was running out of disc space therefore the pm or email may well be the better option.

Yes, as to the exchange rate, when it comes time to pay the piper, or the Chat Treasures as the case may be Close is ok except for number crunchers. As for Business matters... PMing sounds good to use, and if The site is running close to empty, maybe it is time to shuffle some of the crap out to the Recycle bin.

I really can't see why there should be more than 90 days worth of postings stored on this sites' space. If you want to keep something for eternity have it chisled in stone, or at least store it on your P.C.

Zman, You have surfed into a forum where you should not be, if you are  it is because the forum is a makeshift thread meant for VCCA Club members private info.

Mr. Moderator why don't you close this topic and then we can do our business via a Private Message.

This is getting completely out of hand.

Bill42, Why? Because he says he is from WACO or that he carries a long blade. You don't know me either. Maybe we can recruit him for VCCA and the LSR.

I wondered who would respond. Have you ever been to the Belton Swap Meet?

I didn't even bother to look where Zorro's from, til you mentioned Waco. Now I see he's from Waco.

I guess WACO still means We Ain't Coming Out?!?!?

Not being from your parts, I have NO idea about the Belton Swap Meet.......

Is that a real place?? Or is that sort of a joke??? Like going to the Land of Oz???

No, Waco is a city in Central Texas, and the headquarters for the Texas Rangers Museum (cops, not ball players) and in Belton they have an Ham Radio Swap meet, I thought it was time for the auto swap meet but I was a few weekends off. Belton is a few miles from there, Waco is the nearest city to The Texas White House in Crawford, I do some Security type Consulting services in the area. Don't worry Bill I won't tell anyone about your secret, I love secrets myself!

I sure hope the chapter gets a private place somewhere like:

So we can use our real names and there won't be anybody pretending about who they are.

If this site does change to where only VCCA members can post (anyone can read) one day.....that will be a good day IMHO only.

I know that space is short so couldn't we just cut the first 64 pages of one-liners and give them to the chapter?
