I agree. Let's keep the wheels rolling on this.
Motion: I move we table any further discussion of the slogan until the bylaws and charter are completed. 37Blue

"We" are working on the by-laws and a charter right now, that has not stopped to deal with a slogan or logo. "We" are just doing 2+ things at once. The idea was that we could work on the slogan and logo (small stuff) while Ray and Kepi were working on the big stuff for a couple of weeks. We could be moving ahead with some of this small stuff or just sit and wait, I like to keep things moving...MHO. This is what Ray said on the 28th: I had a feeling it was too late for me to be fooling around here. I was just killing time before having to leave for the airport. Speaking of which...I've now got allmost a full house of in-laws staying with me. My time is going to be limited here for the next week or so. Things left to do: (Final steps 5,6,7, & 8) 5. Prepare OUR chapter by-laws. (I have a sample to use. It can be scanned and substitute "Chat Chapter" were it applies). 6. Validate charter members. (I made up a list of all our names, VCCA #, and addresses. It should be sent to he National Secretary for validating) 7. Submit application packet to VCCA. (easy) 8. VCCA Board of Directors review and vote. (this part is out of our hands. Keep your fingers crossed).
No's 5 and 6 need to be at the same time. With my schedule right now, I don't think I can wrap it up by the end of next week. If someone has more time on their hands than I do, I'll scan the documents and email them to you for editing. Do not post the names and address on this web site! I still have some time this weekend, but I'm out of town starting Sunday, and returning Thursday. RayG And kepi reply was: ray,
send them to me...I can do the editing for you... So the rest of us are in a waiting mode right now and I thought we could do some work on the logo and slogan while giving Ray and kepi some time to do their stuff. Up to you guys, do you want to stop and wait or work on this small stuff?

Well it seems as though the important stuff is, in fact, getting done from what Louis C is saying. The approval of our chapter is out of our hands at this point while we wait for the BOD to discuss and vote on it. So if some of us feel better "doing" something, like dreaming up a slogan and logo. Why not? If some of us want to wait for approval before "doing" anything else, well that's ok too. IMHO. It's kinda like to "trailer" or not to "trailer"..........different strokes for different folks. Let's all stay happy!! The big stuff is in the works.

Really guys if you don't feel that you are doing enough good and need something to do, go out to the garage and clean it up, or come over here to Poverty Sinks and help Me clean up this mess I have in my shop!
As you probably can see..... (I am really just not into Mottos, since they are often feel good words on a page without support or any real meaning.)
But if it flops your mop, then for goodness sake Motto abead!

I am having senior moments more often lately…at least I think I remember having them...???
Have not heard anything about the logo from you guys, we have one posted from Tom Johnson on this string. What did you think of it? Suggestions for change? I think the slogan was going to be added to it later.
Kepi son is also working on a logo for us, I think. I don't think this is a final decision string for either we are just tweaking logos and slogans until later, At least that is MHO.

Kalani I agree with Big Bob. A minor thing I notice is Cartunman has Chat Chapter and Kalani has Chat Charter, which is correct but either way is easy fix. When it comes to decision time I am going to flip a coin.

From the guy who doesn't like anything with a "CLICK AWAY" in it.
And now, I'm going to the garage to start cleaning.

I wonder if the VCCA can hook us up with whoever makes their membership cards? Anyone know who to talk to about this; if you guys don't want each of us to make our own card using our computer.
The logo makers need to make up some samples of the card if they can. What information do you want on the card?
Current slogan suggestions:
1. "My club is just a click away."
2. "My chapter is just a click away."
3. "My chat is just a click away."
4. "Let your fingers do your talking."
5. "All Chevy Chat at Chat Chapter"
6. "It helps to chat"
7. "We chat Chevys!"
8. "Chatty Chaps Chat at the Chat Chapter"
9. "All Chevy @ Chat"
10. "chat chapter: we have no boundaries"
11. "Success is only a CLICK away!"
12. “All Chevy chat at Chevy Chat!”
13. “Only Chevy chat at Chevy Chat”

Try Shirley Whitesell since she is the VCCA membership Secretary.
If you guys would read the G&D , I mean besides the Classified ads you would get a lot of information.

I would suggest that we come up with our own cards. I believe that the VCCA cards are printed by Fink Printing in quantities that would be too expensive for us. We could use a business card format and business card stock for the cards if required. I have used that for some business cards that I made.

I have the card stock for an inkjet printer but my old business card program won't work on the new Windows.

I have the card stock, laser jet printer and MS Word that made the cards for me. Guess I could make them for the Chapter but I don't want the job of membership!!! VP is enough!

I agree with Kipper. If somebody wants to use whatever logo then they can but we all don't need cards. By the way I have an addition ot my logo, if you think it's appropriate, bowl of pretzels and a mug of beer. I'll draw it up and post it asap. Epi, I like Kalani's logo. If you decide on it and you don't have a graphics program, I'd be happy to clean it up for you. Haye we're a team! How about for a slogan; "The club (or meetings) you can attend in your underwear" It's goofy but it would be just for us anyway!

Hi all!
I found some time to take my computer back from my teenage nephews. Yes they all are still here, and we are having a good vacation all together.
I just thought I'd let you guys know that the list of charter names went off to Shirley, and Kepi has the sample by-laws for editing.
I see you guys are having a ball with "To Click or be Clicked". Whatever...Knock yourselves out!
Have fun; Ray
