Here's a one-liner that appears to be another version of Gator's Thumper slogan at the bottom of his posts.....

"If you can't say anything good about anyone don't say anything at all." - - - - "Papa" (My grandfather Abraham Lincoln Turner)

I have NO idea who Abraham Lincoln Turner is / was.

A friend of mine, many years ago, joined the KKK. As he matured he later became a U.S Senator.

Reflecting back he wished he had not joined the KKK but it was to late. It was on his record!

Now if a person joins the VCCA and later decides it was a mistake; how could he get it off of his record, so an orginization, (where they like each other,) would accept him???

When you call a person "STUPID" it makes you look more intelligent.

This is a true story only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Hey John,

Interesting story and a good point; but it doesn't appear to be a one-liner.....

Whatever............

I always chuckle when I hear somebody say:

"He's on a working vacation."

I'm not sure if it's a one-liner or an oxymoron.

Pretty weird, whatever it is!!

I like that one.

Probably worth repeating.

We're not going to repeat all of them, are we??

Well probably not. Unless there's some "limit" as to what the computer can "hold."

But I do hope we don't just start repeating a whole bunch of them......

That seems sorta dumb.

How about ones that contradict each other, like:

"Look before you leap"

vs.

"He who hesitates is lost"

What to do?... stressed stressed stressed

"Keep your nose to the grindstone."
"Keep your shoulder to the wheel."
"Keep your eye on the ball."

Now, try to work from that position.

Good one George33Eagle...while doing that you also have to "Keep your eye on the prize" LOL

I guess we had the same thought at the same time, George...

Hello Gator,

I already have all the prizes. What I want now is substance and I will stand on my head if necessary to get it.
