Ya..or my mailman could be using the plastic bags to keep other magazines in!
I think that the US Postal Service is the primary problem with the G&D. All of the G&D's are mailed out at the same time as I understand it, and the delivery dates vary all over the country. Sometimes dudes in Florida get their G&D's before I get mine in Oregon. Also, I receive a lot of mail, and packages as well, and around 50% of the mail that I receive has very slow delivery. Priority mail packages takes 4 to 7 days, first class mail (letters) takes 5 days and etc. And, on the flip side it is not unusual for me to receive a media mail package in 3 days.....which is faster than priority mail! Also, for two months in a row, at the end of this past summer, I never received my G&D at all and Jean Fink kindly sent me replacements......which arrived in just a couple of days!
I have a couple of friends that work at the post office and you should hear the horror stories that they tell about the service at the post office and the things that they do. Yep, I firmly believe that the primary problem is with the post office, and as their rates go up (they are going up again by the way) their service goes down.

The post office is the problem with delivery. All issues are addressed, zip sorted and delivered to the Orange, CA post office at the same time. It then is the hands of USPS. If a replacement is sent it goes first class which is faster than periodical rate.

Here is how we solve the problem; date next month's Jan. G&D as Feb. then everyone will think that they are a month ahead.
The only problem would be people asking for the Jan. issue...
Remember also the members in Europe and down under who get them really, really late.

I agree it is an operational problem with the mail delivery. fracus, I really don't see how anyone gets mail with all the "Don't blame it on Me" crap ......"Blame it on the Democrats ,..... "No Blame it on the Republicans"!...... "No blame it on the truckers!" No...."Blame it on Wal-mart!" ....No....... "Blame it on Martha!" We all want instant pudding, but no one wants to stir the milk!
If someone gets hurt or kills their self, Blame it on the car makers, BLAME IT ON ALL THE GUNS!
Maybe We oughta' blame it on our own selves for being so loose with our true sense of acountability.
( I blame it on the durned SPELL Chekueker!)

Haven't heard a good rant since Dennis Miller's TV show was cancelled. Thanks, Mr Mack. I think, the Iranians, have something to do with mail delivery? Tongue firmly in cheek, Gary

Hey Kepi Doodle! Haven't you gotten that resolved yet??? Seems like you go through that every month. Actually, you should be getting your G&D before most of us do. Maybe you should be making a few phone calls to find out what the problem is. :( :( :( :(

It came yesterday. Great story JYD! Now I know were I want to be buried. Just pick a spot under one of those trees along side one of those cool 32's. Yeah, the USPS is kinda like the weather, Everybody complains, but no body does anything about it...

dog, nah...not a lot that can be done about our delivery here, except maybe move into town...don't think getting the g&d earlier is even enough of a reason for us to do that, though... but, it's the fourteenth...guess I'll give up tomorrow & let the finks know that this month's is lost... epi

JYD; The floor pan from about the seat back to the wood rail just foward of the rear end housing. It's for my Coupe and the person in the rumble seat will put their feet on it. At the rear of it, it has two wedge looking pieces on both ends (to clear the shocks?) It also has support ribs on the bottom. email me at LauRayMar@optonline.net As for Batman and company, The Joker must be running the show at the USPS!

Nope! Got a really nice floor pan for a sedan. Sorry. :( :( Hum...if the "Joker" is running the post office, then that explains why the USPS is such a "joke"! ha ha!
