I have a '39 Chevy ton and a half truck with the dually 9 ft pickup bed (I am the one who keeps hounding you guys). Would you be able to tell me how many of these rare pickups were produced in '39 and give me a rough estimate on what it would be worth restored in #1 condition? Thanks

I have the figures for 1940 but nothing on 1939.In 1940 there were 918 1 1/2 ton pickups made. The total number of 133" W.B trucks of all styles made in 1939 was 22,791 and 25,400 in 1940. The single or dual wheel is not mentioned. So the total of pick-ups in 1939 would be a little less than the 918 I would guess.
I am sure the trucks is very rare.Unfortunatly rare seldom adds to the value.Only the 1/2 and 3/4 ton are listed in the Old Cars Value Guide. Both are listed at $20,000 in #1 condition. Many people go by the guide when selling their vehicle but finding a buyer is another story.

Production figures for 1927 - 57 cars and -47 trux are listed at: http://la.znet.com/~c1937/Prod.htm. There are many omissions that research has not yielded numbers to yet.
