Plus it did a double on my last post. I tried commenting on it before but it went over 5 minutes and timed out.

Bill,

Another comment.....

The time stamp is still off by five hours down here in PDX.

I posted the above at 6:55pm; NOT 11:55pm.

Thanks for all of the info. I'm passing it on to the hosting company.

For what it's worth, I think that the time stamp issue has been corrected. Comment? yay

Bill,

Time stamp issue corrected..... you seem to be wondering.

I don't think so. Your post above is 'stamped' 0241. It's only about 1145pm (2345) down here in PDX.

I'm guessing you posted around 940pm; not tomorrow morning at 0241 as the stamp indicates.

Please know, I'm NOT complaining - just commenting. A faulty time stamp beats the he!l out of NO CC at all.

You know, better to have loved a short rather than never to have loved a t all. HA!!!

Bill,
It shows on mine that you posted on Nov. 1 at 21:41, not Nov. 2 at 02:41 as 42Bill mentioned. It seems right to me. togo

Billy Boy Barker's time stamp is correct! He posted on November 01, 2006 at 21:41, not 0241.

42bill, did you go to your profile and make the time correction to -5 as Billy Boy Barker stated in an earlier posting? If you didn't then your time stamp is still going to be 5 hours ahead!

Go HERE --> https://vccachat.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=edit_my_profile

Scroll down until you see "Time Adjustment". In the box to the right if it says "0" then you are still 5 hours ahead. Delete the "0" and put in "-5" and then click on the "Update Profile" button. Your time stamp will then be correct.

IMHO the reason why there are more double posts now is because when we click on reply there is such a long wait (2 minutes for me) that we begin to believe that maybe we need to click again which results in a double post or sometimes even triple posts if we click 3 times.

When I post, there is a pretty long wait. The good news is it gives me time to go downstairs to get another beer without missing anything!!!

For a few days all seemed well, except when I made a reply. Now it has slowed down again.

Skippy,

Thanks for the info on how to "fix" the time situation. I obviously didn't see Bill's "earlier posting" on fix it. So, thanks for showing me the way.

MY time really did show Barker had posted at 0241 on 11/2; not at 2141 on 11/1 when I made the comment. Apparently when I adjusted to minus five, it went back and re-set all my stuff. My stamp on that post of Bill's now does indeed show 941pm yesterday, Nov 1st.

Cool!!!!

(I was going to say "cool" with graemlins; but "instant graemlins" won't open for me!! Oh well.....)

One minute and 15 seconds for the above after hitting "Add Reply"

That's a long time when you're looking at your watch

Ken,

It would seem even longer if you were waiting outside of the door to the men's room.....

(I still can't open the graemlins - - so I'll just 'say' HA HA !!!)

This might help with the graemlins if you have Quick Reply checked in your profile:

Go to your profile and uncheck "Show Quick Reply?" and I think you will get your Instant Graemlins back.

Hope it works for you it did for me... laugh
