Oh Screwie Louie, No, No, No. No "sike-o-analyzin" going on here. Just a simple review of comments and the messages I read in them. Really very simple stuff. Ah, Hell, it's your club, have it any way you want it to be. And as you do ask yourself, as we all do, how it's going? If the answer is good, don't change. If new memberships are down, or voting is weak or money is needed or if the general membership is having problems, review why and consider changes. Really very simple stuff that gets way over reviewed. :( :( :( As "they" say, it runs or it don't. So no psycho-babble here. Just reading and commenting on the part of conversation called the message" And "we" are not doing any thing. That was MY comment. Michael41

IMHO it would be great if the BOD got hundreds of motions all on the same topic.
It would show them that there a lot of members wanting that change (whatever it is).
I don't think we can wait for someone else to take some action for us, it is our club and up to us, the members to do something.
I am sure the BOD gets more than 1 motion on the same topic all the time especially if it is a ”˜hot’ topic so don't let your fear of the BOD getting "confused" with multiple copies of the same motion stop you from exercising your right to make a motion that you feel will make the VCCA a better club, as a matter of fact maybe it is all of ours’ duty to do so, IMHO.

I agree Louis C. why don't you write up a couple and post them? we can copy and paste them into an email and send them to the Directors, maybe even print one and snailmail them to the directors that don't surf the web.

RE: Limited Tours the Perception
"Oh look at the old cars! Are they Model Ts and Model As?" "No they are Chevrolets, see the Bowtie on the radiators. It's the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America on tour." "But I can't see a car newer than a 1928 or so." "That's becauase it's a club for the really old cars, you can tell by their logo." "Well let's join a club that better fits the age of our Chevrolet."
As Bill said, "You only get one chance to make a first impression."

Good Golly Miss Molly!
I love them all. "Klinkerbelle" the 28 National Sedan, "BelairBelle" the 51 HT, "BluBelle" the 53 BelAir sedan, "Betsy" the 68 IMpala Sport Sedan, "Old Blue" the 95 Silverado extended cab 1500 and young "Miss TahoeBelle" the 05 Tahoe! I even like my "Old Workhorse" 1988 GMC 2500 Extended cab long bed. I once even had a I-H "Ruthy the Girl Scout" that was a cool 4x4!

 Pertains to the following reply after Donald's posting about a possible VCCA Logo. '95 Silverado extended cab 1500; 2005 Tahoe; 1988 GMC 2500 extended cab, and an International Harvester 4x4. The new Vintage Chevrolet Club of America?

The club needs more communication devices other than the selective editing of the news that we see in the G&D. Tours and meets play a large factor in having our members communicate and get to know what is going on. I think that having meets and tours is an effective way to meet other VCCA members and maybe work out some plans to improve the National Club, in addition to having a good time. The National Anniversary Meets sould be a good place to meet members that want to improve the club for everyone. It sounds like we will have a good place to meet face to face, and chew the fat at The VCCACHAT.org Table. See you there! There is no doubt to me that those putting on tours have more success with setting up tours and limiting them for the older cars like the four cylinders, early sixes, pre 1955s. Why I don't really know. The club should have sufficient 1955-1981 cars for late model tours. It just will take some members that will commit to steping up to the plate and organize a tour. James Burnes tried to get one started a couple of years ago and failed to get enough cars committed to do a tour. That really isn't any reason that some V/8 tours. I would like to all 1955 and up cars, sixes, eights and modern fours.Maybe it may take a couple or three regions working together, in order to get the proper support. I don't see just one person being able to do everything needed for a successful tour. :)
