TonyW All the local regions of VCCA that I know of have their own logo. Many also have a web page.

There are always a lot of worthwhile constructive things to work on in a club like ours. I agree with the rest that the logo has little bearing on what people think of our club. It is the members that make the difference. If it is not broke don't fix it. If you would change the logo what would you change? If you put a different car that would upset others in the club. You will never satisfy all the members. Let the majority rule and from the looks of the posts we should leave the logo as is and work on important things.
Thats all I have to say about that....

My region {The Great Southern California Region} just went through a process of creating VCCA Hats {approved & for sale soon}, and it was not easy. Seems the current logo was HUGE in what the embroidery co’s call Stitch Count. So from this perspective, if the logo was changed, I would agree it could be easier to "transfer" to ID items. {aka: Marketing tools}

From primarily a design point of view {part of my background & education} I believe the logo should go through a transition and redesign that parallels that standards & values of yesterday while creating new image that supports today’s & tomorrow’s needs.

I just made a quick check, there are 14,751 talented, capable graphic artists and about 12,000+ Image development firms, ALL of whom have the expertise to handle this responsibility.

Now as a newer member I feel that a new logo is a good idea. Not for change sake, but for the sake of VCCA’s growth, as well as connecting to TOMORROWS members.

Quick Question: Does the "Board" read this section ?

Thanks for this opportunity & Happy Motoring

The present logo is part of our family name. Do you want to change your family name? You are welcome into the family no matter what year Chevrolet you have or you don't even have to own a Chevrolet. Just be interested in Chevrolets. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Logos don't bring in new members. Members bring in new members. Sign one up today.

See you down the Back Roads.
