Hey John 348: Ya, your photo looks great. It ain't Elvira, but it's really great anyway! Good going! Nope, Elvira doesn't need any restoration and she is all original. Just ask Billy Boy Barker because he has been to the "promise land" and he will agree with me.

Mr Mack: Well......you know when some dudes restore their cars that they either paint their mufflers black or they leave them the natural color? Well, Elvira's muff-ler is all original and it is still the stock color.....red. But, that is in tune with her whole stock appearance because her top, under the black cover, is actually red too. :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

I think it is a stainless exhaust, last a long time and really don't show the milage. I know my Yukon has it, so why not Elvira? :p

Stainless steel is stock for your Yukon, but it's not stock equipment for Elvira. She still retains her original stock muffler,and it is in great working order, so there is no reason to change it! :eek: :eek:

I just FIGURED it was made of stainless because it looks very good for it's age considering all of the miles :p I being your saying it is OEM it had to be pretty good material :p :p :p :p :p

Ya, it is definitely OEM, and back then they made things that were of extremely good quality....that you just couldn't wear out. :eek:

Hey Donald! Welcome aboard! Nope, no dual stock mufflers for Elvira, only one single stock muffler and it hasn't been replaced either. But, you are right, it still does "puuuuurrrrrr" like a kitten! :eek:

Speaking of accessories I have a question. I am restoring a 62 biscayne, I am going to put the radio in, but I have a NOS manual tunning radio , and I have a push button radio that is used and will need service, which one would guys use? Believe it or not this was the dinner conversation :confused:
