Has anyone had experience buying from Dick Moffitt's Chevy Parts as advertised in the G&D? I was interested in ordering their '39 reproduction chrome grille and was wondering about the quality. Any other sources for a reproduction grille would be appreciated.
Thanks, as Always,
Chuck

have bought parts from them before and they are honest. suspect the repo 39 grill is coming from just one source, whose identity is unknown to me.also not familiar with quality of the repo. seems to me i had over a grand in having a nos 39 grill done for our 39 woody about 5 years ago. mike

Dick Moffitt's Chevy Parts. Dick is the prime manufacturer of his grills. I believe that they are made out of the USA and then plated here. The only year that I know about is 1948 Chevy. I have been told the story by a fellow VCCA member in my local VCCA chapter that the 1948 reproduction grills from Moffitt have a very very poor fit. Even to the point where additional holes needed to be drilled in the front fenders if they were to be used.
On a lighter note, Dick does sell alot of very nice items and he does have alot of very rare Chevy accessories and he is honest to deal with. He sells many of his items on ebay under the name: 28-72chevypartshere
