Thinking about changing the headlights in my 1948 Fleetmaster Woodie to halogen type, so they’re brighter. Any thoughts on this? What brand and part number did you use?

I expect you will have a challenge finding a 6 volt halogen 7” sealed beam bulb. I think there are some speciality assemblies out there that are a 7” housing with a separate 6 volt halogen bulb.

Whatever you do make sure you compare the amperage draw for the new bulbs to your existing bulbs. You do not want to overload your light switch and wiring.

I agree that halogen bulbs are brighter. Based on the design and manufacturer that can be due to a higher current draw.

Google Wagner H6006. What I put in my '48. Really made a difference. I have had no problem with them. Check your local auto parts stores and make sure they are 6 volts. New left, old right. It is a 50/40 watt bulb.
