Hello all,

My question today is this: my ’30 Chev 2 door coupe has the original upholstery. It’s looking like it needs a thorough cleaning, with a few small stubborn stains.

What do y’all use on your cars to clean the seats and door panels?

Thanks in advance!

I'de be very careful on how to try to clean upholstery that old. Every time I've tried it I ruined the material.

I suggest that you go to a local art museum and talk to their curator or conservator. They have expertise with cleaning and preserving old fabrics.

Keep us in the loop when you do the work and let us know how it came out (also include before and after pics!).

Thanks, Dean
