I disagree with that applcation.
At one time I had a few 838279 blades and they did not have that heavy rienforcement web riveted in the center. They looked like the standard 1939-1954 838277 blade but had longer and wider blades. Even tried one on my 1939 for prade use. The 277 came on cars that were equiped tith the 3.73 rear axle ratio or used for better heavy duty cooling on any car.

t was also listed as fitting small trucks and is 16 1/2' I DIAMETER.

Thank you for your comment, and help.

The blade is about 16 1/4" x 2 3/8" wide. It weighs 2 pound 1 1/2 oz.
Do the above measurments help at all?

The only numbers i have is the diameter.

From my experiance in digging thru dealerships looking for obsolete parts is it is a fan blade required when installing a new and improved sealed bearing water pump on a 1937 or 1938.Master or 1/2 -3/4 - 1 ton truck.
I would always find a few of these and that is the way I remember them as looking,
