I disagree with that applcation. At one time I had a few 838279 blades and they did not have that heavy rienforcement web riveted in the center. They looked like the standard 1939-1954 838277 blade but had longer and wider blades. Even tried one on my 1939 for prade use. The 277 came on cars that were equiped tith the 3.73 rear axle ratio or used for better heavy duty cooling on any car.
t was also listed as fitting small trucks and is 16 1/2' I DIAMETER.
From my experiance in digging thru dealerships looking for obsolete parts is it is a fan blade required when installing a new and improved sealed bearing water pump on a 1937 or 1938.Master or 1/2 -3/4 - 1 ton truck. I would always find a few of these and that is the way I remember them as looking,
I would like to find a home for the above pictured FAN BLADE. The attached parts page is from 1928-1948 Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog. The part number 838936 fits the description. Reduced price $25.00 + shipping.
