1928 engine rebuild. My engine did not have the oil slinger ‘washer’ between the gear and the timing cover, which I have heard mentioned by other members of the forum.
I can’t find any source for a 1928 Chevrolet oil slinger.

Where would I find one?
Does anyone know if other Chevrolet oil slingers will work?
Are there other guys out there running their engines without an oil slinger?

I spoke with Gary Wallace and he has no oil slingers for sale, and has taken apart many Chevrolet 4 cylinders and has never seen an oil slinger on a Chevy 4 cylinder.

Can I get a survey from other members input on whether their own 4 cylinder Chevrolets have an oil slinger washer behind the timing chain cover?

Yes or No?

I've never seen a slinger in a 4 cylinder. 6 cylinders have them until they got a front cover seal.

How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!
