I am replacing the impeller , shaft and bushings on my 28 capitol truck waterpump
the filling station recomends replacing the baffle. my old waterpump has no evidence of a baffle
I see where there is a recess cut into the casting
it the baffle needed?

thanks again

Paul

The filling station sells a steel version of this baffle plate. I agree without this plate the pump is not ver efficient
