Going to replace throw out bearing looks thin was making squeaking noise and the ears were it rides in for are groves. Fork is shining but I think ok. Question on the front I have a little play at the shaft and the 6 bolt cover. I thought the gasket was leaking but now think it’s probably around the shaft. Is there a bushing or something I can replace while I’ve got it out without major work. Did not want to take off cover and open up bigger can of worms. I’m going to try and take clutch out and check it while it’s apart. The bearing on the left is out of my car. The othe is a used one I got with some parts. You can see the difference in the photo. How thick is a new one from the metal to top of flat service. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The shaft is not a tight fit in the front bearing "xover".
lUBE THE r.o BEARING AFTER INSTALLING.
There is a slinger inside the Trans. that keeps the oil in.

I have a bearing that I believe is NOS and it measures about 1/4" from the flat to the top. Not sure what is involved in removing the front cover and bearing but I think your leak could be due to a worn bearing or cover as there is no seal in the front.

Am I correct I can replace the bearings plate and it’s springs by pulling one side of the spring then removing it. Do all 3 replace the plate then put new plate and install new springs the same method as I took them off but put them back on.
