My 39 had three horns under the hood. The car has the town and country switch. Should both horns honk at the same time or independent of each other. I belive my third horn is an add on OOgah horn, not part of the town and country. Thanks, Tom

I dont have town and country horns but the way I read other posts the 2 horns mounted on the "V" rod that locates the radiator top operate in the country position of the switch and the other horn operates on its own in the town position. If I am incorrect someone please correct me. Tony

The switch is to change the operation of the horns between the single "town" horn on the manifold and the accessory Double-Duo "country" horns that mount to the V rod. In the town position the single horn honks. In the country position both accessory horns honk. The switch is the ground circuit leading to the horn button. You connect the horn button wire of the accessory horns to that terminal on the switch and the single horn horn button wire to the other terminal. Absent the stock switch, I put a three way toggle (on circuit 1/off/on circuit2) on the bottom lip of the dash to control mine. It comes in handy when messing with the horn button. I put the switch in the Off position and don't have to disconnect the battery to keep the horn(s) from honking while working on it.

If I'm reading correctly then there should be three horns? I removed the TandC switch, and it has three contacts. Is the third contact where the ground from the horn button attaches? Thanks again for the info.

A single horn on the manifold and the twin Double-Duo accessory horns. One terminal to the horn button, one to the single and one to the twin horns. Think of the switch as a Y. The bottom leg goes to the horn button while the two "arms" go to the horns.

The horn button legs all go to the switch. If wired correctly they are all grounds.
