Newbie here I am in process of reassembling a 32 5 window coupe it has been apart since sometime in the 70's . Question today is how to install hood vent door springs! Dave

Hello Dersh, Can't answer the question but suggest contacting those companies that sell those springs for details. Have you any service manuals for the 1932 Chevy? Investing in the manuals is the way to go.

I've got the service and fisher body and 32 service bulletins. Not much help there. I think I need three hands!!

Is the hood on the car?? Probably easier with it off and laying on a flat surface outer side down. Install the spring into the door end first and then the other end into the hood using vise grips clamped to the spring.
