Does anyone know how to remove the leaf spring pins from frame mounts in a 1951 Chevy truck? I’m having trouble and I need to get them off to send the frame to be sand blasted.

I assume that you are working with a 3100 half ton truck. I suggest that you should get a shop manual if you do not have one at this time. It will show you how the take the spring shackles apart and then remove the tapered pins that fit into the bracket on the frame.

Most people do not remove the rivets that hold the spring mount brackets to the frame.

There are lots of VCCA members in Florida who could possibly help you.
