I am new to the vintage Chevrolet scene (we have two Model T’s). Does the VCCA have a judging guidelines document/book similar to the ones available for Model T’s and A’s?
Thanks,
Craig

While I am in Aus and therefore not into judging I believe there is a guide to judging available on this forum but you may well need to be a VCCA member to access it.

To answer your question... No, the VCCA does not have books like other clubs have put together.
Depending on the year that you are asking about, there are people in the club that may have extensive knowledge but our efforts to document everything has been limited. We do however have technical advisors that allows club members to reach out to for help and questions.

This chat site is also a good tool to learn about many vehicles but it may take some time to find.

Welcome, Craig, glad to have you aboard. I think you may be referring to the "VCCA Judging Manual" which we definitely do have. It's available on the VCCA website (click on "VCCA home" at the top of this page), and hard copies are available for purchase. The manual covers the entire VCCA judging program, the classes in which cars belong, the judging sheets, etc. I believe it's available only to VCCA members -- and I definitely encourage you to join. The club has a great monthly magazine "The Generator & Distributor", puts on lots of regional meets and tours, and has local chapters all over the country. Great bunch of folks who love old Chevys and have a ton of accumulated knowledge about them.

If you have specific questions about the judging program, there is a forum here on the Chat Room for that -- this one: So ask away.

Again, welcome!

All the Best, Chip

I guess I’ve been missing something but I can’t seem to find the judging manual.

Thanks,

Mike

The Judging manual and forms opened for me. Maybe it was a momentary glitch.

Got it....

I didn’t know you had to login again from the forum, then login in again to get back to the forum.

Thanks,

Mike
