Upps! I don't want to add lights so the three-wire type is out.

Thanks,

Hey Charlie, Look https://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/43379/Turn_Signal_Switch_like_Original_6_Volt.html

The guy on ebay makes these. Contact him. 6v or 12v. Buy from him, cheaper!

Ok then, well you will have to run wires from the signal switch to the parking light housings up front, but I guess that part is obvious. You would either need to abandon the parking light function and put in a brighter bulb for the signal, or change to 2-contact sockets and use two-filament taillight bulbs.

You'll have to forgive me for forgetting what a 41 parking light looks like. If there is not enough headroom in there to get the taillight bulb in, dual-filament park/signal 6v bulbs with a smaller glass bulb do exist. If I remember correctly they are used in motorcycles, probably in Europe. Ebay had them last time I needed some.

Power from the brake light switch will have to be routed to the turn signal switch now instead of directly to the back of the car. From the signal switch it can head on back to the back of the car. That gets you one side.

But, on most prewar cars, and probably the 41, there was only one brake light wire to the back, and then the wire crossed to the other side. That wont work with signals. You will have to disconnect the wire going across the back, and then run one more wire back from the turn signal switch to light the other side up.

Bloo is so correct. However, that is the way it is if you want the turn signal switch. I had to do ALL that to install my ebay switch. Plus had to buy the YnZ harness, take my switch apart, unsolder old wires, solder on new harness wires and run and change all that described above!!

Now if this old fleetliner can do it their is hope for all. Go ahead, get it done.

If you want I can email you the instruction sheet that came with my YnZ turn signal harness. It is scary.
