I don't know about the '25 picture book as I don't have one or recall seeing one. It may be a one year only publication.

Sales Data books were published to educate salesmen on the different models and features. A size that can be held in one hand, they have black and white photos, features, etc. on each vehicle. Also had sections that detailed the construction, systems, ordering and payment plans, . There were both passenger and truck volumes. They could be used as a reference when a customer might want more information.

The larger (coffee table size) "Dealer Albums" were also a sales tool. In most years they had a colored photo and major features of the vehicles. They were intended to be available to customers who could leaf through often with a salesman's help to give a promotional overview of the years vehicle selection. There were smaller abridged booklets that customers could take home. The albums were not intended for customers to take home but remain as a reference in the showroom or sales manager's office. In 1932 as an example there was a ring binder ("A Ride in a Chevrolet") containing passenger, truck and mechanical data booklets. They was an owners roster, used car booklet and a pouch for sales booklets. The binder was contained in a large pouch with two compartments. One for the album and a second for order pad, Sales Data book, etc. It was intended for a salesman to take to a customer and have all the information needed to complete the sale.

There were also ring binders with promotional information on the available commercial bodies, equipment and accessories for trucks and specialty light duty chassis.

It should be noted that the Engineering Features books that are available in reprint were never intended to go outside GM. They were published as an internal documentation of the Engineering Departments accomplishments. It was not a publication available to dealers or sales staff. Some of the information was used in producing the other sales literature.

All of those publications coupled with Service News, Fisher Body and parts books are some of the valuable resources aiding our preservation and restoration efforts.
