Hey everyone, im new to the forums, Is anyone able to list every difference between a 37 fisher master and master deluxe? (This is my first 37 so im not up with everything yet) I have a cabriolet sport (burn find) that im thinking of making into a master deluxe (if possible as all) Thanks for the help :)
Front suspension different bumpers different dash trim different running boards on MD had a chrome strip Masters didn't differential ratio different I believe the upholstery was different? Not sure if MD all had 2 tail lights but know that on Masters the right one was an option. Same for windshield wipers and interior sun visors That is all I can think of right now.
Oops, I see that you are from Australia, I don't know if these differences apply to Aussie cars!
If you have a 1937 Fisher Body US made Master Cabroilet it already has some of the Master Deluxe features and there was no Master Deluxe Cabroilet in 1937 and 1938. The 1938 Master Cabroilet had the Master Deluxe bumpers and guards, stainless running board trim, door sill plates, instrument panel ash tray, and Master Deluxe instrument panel trim and door garnish moulding trim. Also came with a temperature gauge. It did not have the independent front suspension or rear spring covers.
With it being Canadian, does it have tube style shocks on the car? Front sway bar? I don't think I've encountered any 1937 Canadian, just lots of 38's and none that body style so I'm curious... Be nice to see some pictures.

They both use a three spoke steering wheel. There is an accssory chrome spoke Banjo wheel available as an accessory. A good one wil cost thousands of dollars today. The Master weel has a slightly fatter rim but hey look about the same.
There was a "banjo" steering wheel, I don't know if it was standard on a MD or an accessory. I am sure some one will answer that question. The standard Master wheel was quite plain and was used on many previous models.
Based on your pics, it looks like it had both tail lights mounted at one point as it has wire pass thru holes and mounting holes, for left and right tail lights.

For US cars, the 1937 Master Deluxe steering wheel also had stainless trim inset into the spokes of the wheel while the Master had plain spokes. Here is a picture of a Master Deluxe wheel.
Ahh ok so the master deluxe steering wheels are the same as the holden built ones, and very similar to the 36's. thanks heaps everyone, would still like a confirmed list from anyone that knows all of the differences between a 37 master and a master deluxe if possible thanks :)
I dont know about the sedan identification points but that car appears to be a completed vehicle (drive off the boat) import though to my knowledge most cars came out of Canada not Fisher. The Aus built cars I have seen have tags on the upper left engine side of the firewall. There are a few differences to other 37s that I have seen, the hood sides appear to be fixed to the upper, the ridge just below the windows is different shape, the alloy headlight mounts are more like the 38 than 37. About like my 38 when I got it but with right side drive. Rear axel to spring connection would be different. Oops was thinking 37 vs 38 not master vs delux. Great photos, good luck with that baby, took me 3 years.
The steering wheel always was the same color as the column. In the later years (1942 and up) where the steering wheel was two colors the color of the steering wheel spokes (not the rim) matched the coloumn color.
The 1937 Master Deluxe used the new thinner rimmed steering wheel and was the only year/ model to have a thin stainless steel (or chrome) strips decorating the spokes.
The 1938 Engineering Manual states the the 1938 column was biege rather than the black used in 1937.
