Did the 34-35 standards have a stamped metal , under the floor mounted BATTERY, a stamped plate.
This would match the metal under the seat , tool tray.

None of my cars has a metal battery cover.

thanks....... mike lynch.......... Agrin

The 1934 Standard ad the battery located under the floor below where the passenger placed his feet and had a wood cover.. The 1935 had the battery under the front seat due to the X type frame.

CHEV NUT...........I have 3 ....1935 chev std's and yes battery is under the seat.

I see JOE IACCINO on site, maybe he knows ??????

A coupe that I purchased in 1970, battery was relocated to the trunk area when I got it.

The Phaeton I purchase 2 1/2 years ago the battery is under the seat. Prior owner removed all the floor panels front to back and replaced them with stainless steel ones.
When I purchased the car I was able to buy all the original steel floor panels including tool tray under the seat, but no battery cover panel .

I just popped the seat out of my DANBURY MINT 1.24 scale diecast 35 roadster. I believe they produced this model based on a former tech rep car in VCCA , who has passed.

Unfortunately the model does not have the battery cover.

So kinda hoping somebody has an original untouched car that has one still in it to post on this thread.

Mike, I'm not sure what you are asking but if you are asking if the 35 Standard has a metal stamped tray over the battery the answer is yes. I can send you a picture if you need one.

Could you send me a pix of the battery cover please? It is one of the few original items that were missing when I bought my 35 EC in 1971. Thanks, Mark
