I would like to identify if my 1950 chevy truck engine is correct. if not, what is wrong.
It has this follows number on engine:
HBM147698 - means TONAWANDA 216 CID
3835309 cast number - means 42-49 325 CID.
is a 216 ou 235 CID?

I am sending two messages on "My Stuff". See red flag. You have a 216 head from 1950 on a 1948 or 49 block. The block is 235.

This is the second time arund. I completely Identified the engine and it is as you described. The pictures show it has a later 235 valve cover with the side screws to add more confusion - but it is a 216 head.
