Deciding to postpone a major meet can be a difficult issue. The decision was not made lightly. As far as the new dates for the meet are concerned, Franklin is absolutely correct - that is why he is president and not me. The 60th Anniversary meet officially begins on Sunday July 31, 2022 in the afternoon. The last event for the 60th Meet will be the Closing / Awards Banquet which will be held on Friday evening August 5th, 2022.
I am chopping at the bit to put on the meet. Hang in there everyone. See all of you in Bowling Green, KY in 2022.

So when can we call the Hotels and reschedule the dates. In July of 2021 or before? Or do we wait and find out the Hotels took reservations early like they did this year?

Are we renaming it to "The 61st Anniversary Meet"?!!

I wish this pandemic had never happened but I didn't think my 38 Cabriolet would be done by then. I have never attended any of your meets or conventions. I was hoping my wife would be interested enough to come to the 60th anniversary meet with me next year. When I told her that my car would likely be done by 2022 it sounded like she would go. I have my fingers crossed for both my car and wife.

The VCCA contracts with 2 hotels in Bowling Green that are all surrounding the Host Hotel - Holiday Inn University Plaza and the Sloan Convention Center. This is where all of the activities will be held. Each of the 3 hotel contracts state that you can reserve a maximum of 2 rooms and that the date to reserve a room will begin on September 15th, 2021 at Noon CST. This information will be printed in the August 2021 G&D and will be posted on the VCCA website at the same time.
