have never seen or heard of the employee's name being on the sticker. The car would have been sent to a dealer and it would be considered a dealer courtesy delivery.
If the car would have been furnished to the employee it would have been the property of GM and GM would sell the car to a dealer in the end - like a program car.

Hi Gene!
Thanks for the quick reply.
Reason I ask is I own a GM employee ordered/owned Caprice.I do not have the original window sticker.I do have the original dealer invoice order, which does state his last name as well as a GM employee ordered car.
I ordered a reproduction window sticker from Triple A Ent in Indiana, and was curious if it would list this particular info on it like the dealer invoice does. Thanks,Jim downum

The invoice would carry the name, but not the window sticker, as gene stated. There were many, many GM employee cars handled through the dealerships where I worked, not something out of the ordinary.

i haad a 67 400 HP air conditioned corvette years ago. it was purchsed by a GM employee when new. The tank sticker, which was glued to the fuel tanks of all corvettes built in 1967 and later, had the employee's name on the tank sticker as well as all the options the car was born with.. mike

Thanks Guys for the input/clarification.

I realize that GM employee ordered cars are not rare, special or more valuable, generally speaking.

I just wanted to be sure my repro window sticker is as accurate as possible. Jim

If you'd like I'd be happy to review your window sticker and ket you know how accurate it is.

When I worked at a Chevy dealer in the early 80s there was something on the window sticker that told it was a ordered for someone and not for stock but hot sure if there was anything for a GM employee.

Paul,
I just looked at your site. It is very interesting.
I'll check with Sam to see if he would like a sticker for his '62 Corvair wagon.

In the 2000`s the GM dealers took the car in as regular stock, the GM employees just had paper work from the place of employment, that gave the GM pricing,(special discount)
FLEET dept did the rest and sold them the car.
I did all the GM fleet sales/orders

Jeff,

You may be referring to the "order number" on the window sticker.
