On the '32, could either style pass as period correct ? For some reason, my engine was sporting both types . Thanks.

I don't ever recall seeing the wire type on what I considered to be original hose clamps. That includes many early 1930s cars and trucks I have owned, found in junk yards or farmer's fields. The band style clamp is what I found in most instances. It is what I use in my rebuilds or restorations.

The band type is correct for the 32. I Think the wire type came out in 1934. I will need to research that further but for now, use the band type...Joe

Yep, the double band type of hose clamp is definitely correct for 1932.

what about on a 1929 ?? mine seems to have all the WIRE type or the ones in the top of the picture shown NOT ON THE HOSE.

should they be the Clamp style shown on the Hose ??

From the info. that I have in my library, 1929-32 used the double band hose clamps.

That agrees with the film strip pictures I have.

If your radiator hose is 1 1/4" then you will need the hose clamp for a 1 1/4" hose. The GM-1202 clamp is for a 1 1/2" hose.
