I don't ever recall seeing the wire type on what I considered to be original hose clamps. That includes many early 1930s cars and trucks I have owned, found in junk yards or farmer's fields. The band style clamp is what I found in most instances. It is what I use in my rebuilds or restorations.

The band type is correct for the 32. I Think the wire type came out in 1934. I will need to research that further but for now, use the band type...Joe

what about on a 1929 ?? mine seems to have all the WIRE type or the ones in the top of the picture shown NOT ON THE HOSE.
should they be the Clamp style shown on the Hose ??
