The 1937 and 1938 car frames are different behind the rear axle. In 1937 the frame rail is angled from the top of the axle hump directly to the very back while the 1938 frame curves down from the top of the axle hump then goes parallel to the ground for the back part. The body floor and the inner fender skirts in the rear quarter panels are different between years and the frame is shaped to match the contours.
There are also differences in the front cross member between the Master series (straight axle) and the Master Deluxe series (knee action) cars. The 37-38 cars of the same series used the same front cross members.
You should avoid a frame from a business coupe or sedan delivery since these do not have the cross member that you need to mount the gas tank in a sedan.
