have been experiencing recently when I am driving the car in 1st gear the tranny is a bit loud but gets worse when I go to 2nd gear. If I let off the gas a bit in 2nd it kinda goes away but still loud. My friends can hear it following me. And it also shifts a bit hard from 2nd to third and almost grinds a bit each time I go the 3rd gear. Would the vacuum shift cause a grinding issue from 2nd to 3rd? And any ideas on the winding noise in 1st & 2nd gear? I plan on pulling it out soon as it is making me crazy worrying about it. And is there a simple way to test the vacuum shift to see if it is working properly?

I would bet it is in the transmission. Think like cluster gear and?
